We’re seeking a DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our applications and services. You’ll work closely with developers and operations teams to improve reliability, scalability, and automation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, reducing manual work, and continuously improving cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps practices

Engineering operations are the driving force behind the seamless functionality and continuous innovation that define the platform's unparalleled user experience. The team manages the infrastructure that runs ZoomPhone, Zoom Contact Center, Zoom Virtual Agent and Zoom Workforce management. By employing robust operational strategies, they guarantee the stability and security of Zoom's infrastructure, allowing millions of users worldwide to connect effortlessly.

Responsibilities

• Building, maintaining, and supporting AWS-based infrastructure for multiple environments.
• Deploying, operating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
• Managing infrastructure using Terraform and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
• Writing automation scripts and tooling to reduce manual tasks and operational toil.
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and testing.
• Monitoring system health, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborating with development and QA teams to ensure smooth releases and reliable environments.
• Participating in occasional incident response and post-mortem reviews.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Maintain AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.).
• Deliver experience Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
• Contribute knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go). Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Promote working in a collaborative, hybrid environment (onsite 2 days per week in San Jose).

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$87,600.00

Maximum:

$186,000.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
