What you can expect
The Head of Market Insights position is a hands-on leadership role within Zoom's PSI (Product Solution & Industry) Marketing team. This role will support our vision to "Lead strategic positioning and market insights to accelerate customer awareness, adoption, and value realization of Zoom innovations through a Brand-to-Demand Marketing model."
About the Team
Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications with a reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems.
Responsibilities
Building High-Performance Team: Lead, develop, and mentor a diverse team of 5 insights professionals, fostering growth and excellence in market research and analytics
Setting team priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring alignment with business objectives across all insights initiatives
Building and maintaining strategic relationships with key industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, etc.) to gather market insights and positioning feedback
Coordinating executive briefings, product demos, and strategic sessions while tracking analyst research to inform product and marketing strategy
Owning and executing comprehensive win/loss analysis to understand customer decision drivers and opportunities to improve win rates
Designing market research studies, customer surveys, and leverage commissioned research to identify market opportunities and trends
Partnering with Product Innovation teams on Jobs-to-be-Done frameworks and product-market fit validation
Conducting Total Addressable Market (TAM) analysis, customer segmentation, and identify emerging trends that impact Zoom's strategy
Developing KPIs and measurement frameworks to track program effectiveness and market share progression
Transforming complex market data and customer feedback into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership
Working closely with Brand Strategy and Demand Generation teams to ensure insights inform campaign strategy and execution
Providing market insights and customer research to support sales effectiveness and product roadmap decisions
What we’re looking for
7-10 years of experience in market research, analyst relations, or strategic insights roles, with 3+ years in people management
Track record of building and leading high-performing teams while remaining hands-on with strategic initiatives
Show demonstrated understanding of B2B technology markets, SaaS business models, and enterprise software ecosystems
Have proven experience designing and executing primary research studies, surveys, and market analysis
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex insights to executive audiences
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$126,500.00Maximum:
$276,700.00In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
