Account Executive - Education
Zoom is looking for State, Local and Education (SLED) Account Executives to sell our Zoom One Platform. Our SLED Account Executives engage with public agencies and public and private education institutions, of all sizes, in a defined geographic territory. You’ll build positive, trusted relationships with decision makers and help public agencies and public and private education institutions realize the value of their investments.

About the person
You're a highly motivated platform sales professional who is passionate about contributing to an innovative technology company. You own the customer relationship by establishing trust and credibility, using influence and business acumen. You understand and have experience with UCaaS-based technology in order to architect custom collaboration solutions with your customers, helping them reach the next level of their business. You are a curious and continuous learner who uses a consultative approach to build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
About the Role
Effectively qualify leads and identify prospect needs, engaging technical resources
Conduct high-level conversations with Administrators and Executives
Meet or exceed sales as assigned by selling Zoom services into SLED accounts
Work strategically with management to deliver forecasts, identify trending opportunities/challenges, and provide recommended solutions
Prospect net new logos, develop and maintain business within existing accounts and manage complex sales situations / large projects
Create, deliver and manage client demos/ presentations, quotes/ proposals, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Utilize solution and value-selling techniques along with objection handling to effectively guide sales process to close
Keep informed of product line, competition and sector trends
Source, upsell and leverage business from established customer relationships and new departments
Strong understanding and adherence to public sector procurement regulations and guidelines
Basic Skill Requirements
5+ years selling technology into the Public Sector
Experience with contract vehicles and procurement policies in the territory
Experience selling UCaaS, CCaaS, PaaS, SaaS within SLED vertical
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool experience
Effective communication skills with internal and external partners of all levels
BA/ BS or equivalent experience
Ability to travel, as needed
Preferred Skill Requirements
8+ years selling technology into the Public Sector
Knowledge of solution-selling techniques
Understanding of UC tools including Zoom, WebEx, Teams and Skype for Business and UC tools (video, chat, voice)
Salesforce CRM experience, as well as Dynamics, ZoomInfo, DiscoverOrg
Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
