Job description

At Workvivo, we understand that the key to growth is in a high-performing sales team. To help us achieve this, we are seeking a qualified business development representative (BDR) to find and screen potential customers who can benefit from a platform that allows them to reach, connect and engage their entire company in one place.

As the first line of communication with prospects, ideal BDRs have a strong understanding of or a desire to learn sales processes and are curious about what motivates buyers. You are a quick learner with strong communication skills and can showcase our offering in a compelling manner. Every potential customer is an opportunity for you to directly contribute to top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and company profitability. You’re that important!

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our sales, marketing and leadership teams to help shape our sales process and team culture.


The Role

This role is responsible for business development via outbound prospecting in Australia and New Zealand. The successful person will execute personalised and scalable outbound sales campaigns focusing on the large to enterprise B2B market. This role is to be based in Sydney.


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to deliver a pipeline of introductory meetings and opportunities that will contribute to revenue goals for your region.

  • Help build a community of Workvivo champions. Build and nurture relationships with your prospects to drive interest and awareness for Workvivo. You are a Digital Workplace Specialist!

  • Engage prospects through carefully crafted sales cadences (that include outreach by telephone, email, LinkedIn and video) to drive meetings and generate pipeline.

  • Share stories of how customers are already using Workvivo.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the buyer persona and buying journey to improve our outbound sales campaigns continuously.

  • Report to leadership on data insights and make recommendations for improvements.

About you

  • 0 to 12 months experience with SaaS sales space in business development.

  • Previous history of consistent achievement or overachievement against targets.

  • The ability to manage a large number of accounts and work cohesively with AEs.

  • Experience communicating with C-Level by phone and email.

  • Structured and organised.

  • Have the courage to fail fast to succeed.

  • Empathic and have positive energy. You prefer collaborative team environments.

  • Comfortable with process and ambiguity. We are still growing and learning as a company.

  • Experience in picking up and explaining ideas and processes to business decision-makers and champions.

  • Knowledge in tools of the trade i.e. Hubspot, Zoominfo, LinkedIn, and Outreach.
