The marketing technology team at Wealthfront owns the tools and processes that enable how we communicate with our clients, and we are building out the team to support objectives across the marketing function. The team will help inform the lifecycle marketing roadmap in support of lead conversion, client growth, engagement, and retention.
We are hiring a Senior Manager who is passionate about our technology and has a strong understanding of the marketing technology ecosystem and project management experience to help scale Wealthfront’s marketing efforts. As the Senior Manager on this team, you will be an owner of Wealthfront’s marketing tech stack - including the marketing automation platform, tools we use to communicate with clients, and processes by which we achieve marketing excellence.
You will solve difficult challenges like - what tools and processes do we need to support marketers across different lines of businesses at scale? How do we increase the cadence of experimentation and learning? How do we leverage our marketing technology to provide personalized, curated experiences for our clients? How do we speed up the rate at which we learn about clients from our marketing efforts?
Responsibilities:
- As a channel owner of Wealthfront’s marketing channels (email, push notifications, in-app messages, SMS, Landing Pages) and tools (1st party, Iterable), define the overall strategy, roadmap, and workflows to support goals across the organization.
- Be a business owner of our marketing automation tools, working across engineering, data science, product, and marketing partners to support a robust platform that elevates the delivery and communication of content to our clients.
- Responsible for executing marketing projects to completion – intake requests, making sure changes, assets, directions, and best practices are implemented. Communicate with stakeholders to set timelines and expectations and keep them informed. Advise partners on technical feasibility and best practices.
- Own the channel attribution and reporting of marketing programs, using data from our programs and experimentation tools to inform decisions.
- Together with cross-functional stakeholders, drive experimentation within messages and personalization of content.
- Keep track of innovations and lead conversations with third parties to build a best-in-class marketing technology platform.
- Ensure that all marketing processes are compliant with regulatory requirements (CCPA, GDPR etc.)
- Partner closely with Research, Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams on marketing strategies concerning product features, updates, and cross-functional projects
Desired skills:
- 6+ years experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, data analysis/reporting, email marketing, and A/B testing.
- Experience working with marketing automation tools (e.g. SFMC, Iterable, Braze), project management tools (e.g. Jira). SQL skills preferred but not required.
- Experience in mapping, organizing, and utilizing data in marketing automation tools to build targeted segmentation and send personalized, real-time messages to users.
- Experience with landing page creation and optimization tools
- Experienced in HTML/CSS (for Email and Landing Pages)
- Strong stakeholder management and project management skills.
- Self-starter with high degree of motivation
- Structured thinker and strong problem-solving skills- there will be new and ambiguous challenges which will require an ability and interest in learning quickly
- Strong project management skills - this role requires a can-do attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- BA/BS degree
- Bias for action to succeed in a fast growing environment
- Experienced in, or willingness to learn programming languages (Javascript, Python, etc)
