The Bot Company
We're a lean, multidisciplinary team of engineers building the future of home robotics.
Our mission is to automate mundane tasks and give people back their time to focus on what they love.
We work across the stack with a culture built for rapid iteration and fast execution.
What we look for in all candidates
All roles at The Bot Company demand extreme sharpness and the ability to move fast in high-intensity environments. Throughout the process, we expect candidates to demonstrate:
Exceptional mental acuity: you think quickly, learn instantly, and reason across unfamiliar domains.
Engineering curiosity: you naturally dig into how systems work, even outside your specialty.
-
High performance mindset: you move fast, handle ambiguity, and excel when the environment is demanding.
Machine Learning Researcher / Engineer
You'll work across the full ML and robotics stack to develop models, algorithms, and systems that enable autonomous operation in complex home environments. You'll transform large-scale curated data and expert demonstrations into data-efficient learning approaches that give robots deeper task understanding, robust visual memory, safer navigation, and the ability to adapt to each user's habits and preferences.
Requirements
Very strong coding skills in Python and/or C++.
Strong understanding of state-of-the-art ML — including VLMs, LLMs, Diffusion models, and Flow models — with the ability to implement them from scratch and make sound architectural decisions.
Solid understanding of infrastructure for large-model training, including DDP, FSDP, Slurm, Weka, or equivalent large-scale systems.
What You’ll Do
Design and iterate on state-of-the-art ML models and algorithms that drive end-to-end robotic intelligence in real homes.
Develop highly data-efficient online and offline training methods using large-scale curated data.
Own the full research-to-deployment loop—from initial concept to models running on real robots performing real tasks.
Collaborate across teams to integrate new approaches into the full autonomy stack and identify opportunities to push the state of the art.
Why Join
You’ll work with a small, elite team on challenges that require speed, intelligence, and deep engineering instinct. If you enjoy understanding systems at all levels, move fast, and think even faster, you’ll thrive here.
