About You:

We are in search of an AI Researcher specializing in the advancement of AI through innovative approaches to local models and LLMs.

This position is tailor-made for an individual with a proven track record in pioneering large-scale model techniques, reinforcement learning, and the creation of autonomous systems. The ideal candidate is dedicated to not only propelling the field forward with novel research but also ensuring these technologies are applied effectively and responsibly.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cutting-edge research in AI & Agents, focusing on breakthroughs in long-term memory, reliability, planning, reasoning, and embodied AI, and transition these innovations into production and running models on device.
• Spearhead and implement the latest research ideas and ship them to production, focusing on on-device LLMs & fast model inference to enhance AI agent capabilities and account for user privacy & security.
• Collaborate with our product and engineering teams to transform research insights into practical, impactful solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, especially around local models, LLMs, fine-tuning techniques, and inference and optimization.
• Employ rigorous testing and iterative improvement processes to optimize enhance the model performance and reliability.
• Deliver high-quality work at a fast pace, understanding the importance of time and speed in a startup environment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in machine learning model development, with expertise in PyTorch, JAX or TensorFlow.
• Demonstrated capability to independently lead research projects with end-to-end responsibility.
• Previous experience in AI research is required. This likely involves a history of publishing research at top conferences.
• Deep understanding of systems engineering with a focus on building scalable solutions for large-scale data processing and model training.
• Solid understanding and experience working with large Transformer models, such as GPT or LlaMA.
• Expertise in fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, and prompt-engineering techniques.
• Experience in working with multimodal or vision models.
• Ability to communicate complex research findings in a clear and impactful manner.
• A knack for solving problems creatively and effectively.
